June 20 – World Refugee Day  

United Nations’ (UN) World Refugee Day is observed every year on June 20
 To raise awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world.
 From 2001, 20 June would be celebrated as World Refugee Day.
 2001 marked the 50th anniversary of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees
 2016 theme is “We stand together with refugees”.
